CIS Industries is proud to be part of a Louisiana State Police Crime Lab project that brings together specialized HVAC equipment, custom solutions, and collaboration among multiple project partners.
Working alongside WHLC Architecture, general contractor LEMOINE, mechanical contractor Gallo Mechanical, and sheet metal contractor ENFRA, CIS supplied HVAC equipment and products from several of our manufacturing partners for the facility.
The project began in fall 2025 and is expected to be completed in October 2026.
A Range of Specialized HVAC Solutions
The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab required equipment designed to serve several different applications throughout the building. CIS supplied products from multiple manufacturers, including:
- Nailor Industries louvers and sheet metal products
- Thermal air handling units
- Loren Cook laboratory fans
- Camfil gun range filtration
Each component plays a different role within the facility, but the building’s large hurricane-rated louver walls required particularly close coordination throughout the project.
Coordinating Large Hurricane-Rated Louver Walls
Large louvers in hurricane-rated applications come with inherent sizing and coordination challenges. On the Louisiana State Police project, making sure the louver walls met the requirements of the application while integrating properly with the surrounding construction required close collaboration among everyone involved.
Over the course of several months, CIS and Nailor worked alongside WHLC Architecture, LEMOINE, Gallo Mechanical, and ENFRA to coordinate the sizing and details of the large louver assemblies.
This type of coordination is an important part of successfully executing large hurricane-rated louver applications. By bringing the manufacturer, equipment representative, architect, and contractors together throughout the process, the team was able to work through the details and provide Louisiana State Police with a solution suited to the space and its requirements.
More Than Equipment
While CIS served as an equipment supplier on the project, our involvement went beyond providing products.
Complex projects often require coordination between manufacturers and the teams designing and constructing the building. CIS helps bridge that gap by bringing product expertise, manufacturer resources, and project support together to help solve challenges as they arise.
From large hurricane-rated louver walls to specialized filtration for the facility’s gun range, the Louisiana State Police project is a great example of what can be accomplished when the right products, manufacturers, and project partners come together.
We’re proud to work alongside WHLC Architecture, LEMOINE, Gallo Mechanical, ENFRA, Nailor Industries, Thermal, Loren Cook, and Camfil to help bring this project to completion.
